from a broken heart to the end of everything

Most relationships end without the rest of the world taking much notice. There are plans to cancel and belongings nobody wants to collect. Life carries on, whether you're ready or not.

Of course, that's assuming there's still a world left when the two of you are through with each other.

HOW TO PLAY

• Post your character, canon, and any preferences or limits.

• Tag around and pick a prompt or roll RNG.

• Play the lead-up, the ending itself, or the aftermath. Characters can still try to change how things turn out.

• Adapt the circumstances to your canon and the relationship you're playing.

YOUR ENTIRE BACKSTORY?

Everybody has a story. Unfortunately, somebody has decided they already know yours.

They've never met you, have no idea where you come from, and couldn't name a single important event in your life. That hasn't stopped them from putting together a remarkably detailed biography. Some of it might even be true.

HOW TO PLAY

Post your character, canon, and any preferences.
Other characters invent pieces of their backstory using whatever they can immediately observe. No actual canon knowledge required. Need an idea? Peep the prompts.
Correct the record, encourage the nonsense, or let them keep talking.

MONSTER'S BRIDE

The old stories are very clear about monsters.

They live beyond the road. They wait in towers, forests, ruined houses, caves beneath the earth. They have claws, appetites, curses, bad reputations. Sometimes they are beautiful enough to fool you. Sometimes they are not beautiful at all.

Sooner or later, they take somebody.

That part is familiar. The mistake comes afterward.

Because the captive is supposed to spend every night dreaming of rescue. They are supposed to recoil from the hand that brings their supper, refuse the strange gifts left outside their door, look through the bars toward home and pray for hoofbeats on the road.

They are not supposed to become curious.

They are not supposed to notice how carefully the monster touches anything fragile. They are not supposed to learn the difference between its anger and its fear, or discover that the terrible face everyone else cannot bear to look upon changes when it is spoken to gently.

Most of all, they are not supposed to love it.

Now somebody has come with a sword.

How awkward.

HOW TO PLAY

Comment with your character, preferences, and whether they'll be the monster, the beloved, the rescuer, or some unhappy combination of the three.
Literal monsters are welcome, but so are curses, villains, feared outsiders, unnatural creations, dangerous people, and anyone the world has decided ought to be treated as a thing.
The "captivity" can be genuine, arranged, misunderstood, willing, temporary, or something the supposed captive stopped objecting to some time ago.
Play the beginning, the getting-to-know-you, the attempted rescue, the return, or the strange little life that comes afterward.

Dear all,

Just something I've been thinking about for a while. I know we've got bigger problems on our hands but a casual question on this bulletin is easy enough to ignore if you're busy, right?

Does it snow much here?

I don't mean general "here," I mean in Panorama proper. I saw some on the train from Kolliery the other day but didn't exactly have an opportunity to enjoy it so I'm hoping that kind of weather makes its way south once in a while.

PS: what is the driving situation like when there's snow if that's the case?

The Kissing Scars Meme

Despite the romanticism surrounding the emotion, it can be difficult to be loved completely — not just the beautiful parts of us, but also the sad parts, the injured parts, the hidden and less-than-pleasant parts. There are marks on us, both physical and mental, that we'd often rather forget. The mental ones can just be easier to hide. As for physical scars, they can be off of our minds some of the time, but that's exceedingly hard to do in more intimate, close moments.

Whether it's to your dismay or otherwise, your partner is not looking away and ignoring your scars. To the contrary, they're providing attention in a way most heavily associated with tenderness: kissing. It may be an accidental slip-off target, or they may be trying to show you that what you've done and who you've been don't matter to them now.

Does the gesture touch you? Make the walls come up once again because of the memories that are dredged from somewhere you'd rather no-go? A mixture of both?

The wound has long closed, yet the pains remain; these days, however, there's someone who may be willing to help you bear it.

Reply with the usual: canon, character, preferences, et al. You may also want to say if you're down for smut or not, since it's not a given.
Be sure to include what side you'd like your character to play. Mention if you can do both the kisser and the kissed.
Also, feel free to talk about your character's scars.
